Reefphyto Gift Card: The Gift That Lets a Reef Keeper Choose
Buying for a reef keeper is hard. They already have the tank, they know exactly which corals and fish they want next, and the wrong food or the wrong bit of kit just sits in a cupboard.
A Reefphyto gift card takes the guesswork out. They pick what their tank actually needs, whether that is live phytoplankton, copepods, a culture kit to start growing their own, or food for a fussy fish.
It arrives by email, so there is nothing to post and nothing to wait for. That makes it a good last-minute present for birthdays, Christmas, or a thank you for the friend who helped you set up your tank.
If you know someone who keeps a reef but you do not know what to buy them, this is the easy answer.

What They Can Spend It On
The gift card works on anything in the shop. Popular choices include our live phytoplankton starter cultures, the Phytoplankton Culture Kit for anyone who wants to grow their own, the Copepod Culture Kit and Rotifer Culture Kit, and brine shrimp eggs for hatching live food at home.
Not sure where they would start? Our guides, tools and resources page helps them work out what suits their tank.
Choose Your Amount
Gift cards are available in £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £50 and £100. £10 to £20 covers a starter culture or a pack of brine shrimp eggs. £50 or more goes a long way towards a full culture setup.
How Our Gift Cards Work
Our gift cards are issued through Shopify, the secure checkout our shop runs on. Here is exactly what happens, step by step.
Step 1: Buy the gift card. Choose the amount, add it to your basket and check out as normal. There is no postage to pay on a gift card, and you can buy it on its own or alongside other products.
Step 2: The gift card email arrives. Once your payment goes through, Shopify sends an email to the address you used at checkout. It contains the unique gift card code and a button that opens the gift card page, where the code and its value are shown. It usually arrives within a few minutes. If you cannot see it, check your junk or spam folder.
Step 3: Pass it on. The email comes to you rather than straight to the person receiving it, so you choose when and how they get it. Forward the email, print the gift card page, or write the code inside a birthday or Christmas card.
Step 4: They shop and redeem it. When they are ready to order, they add what they want to their basket and go to checkout. In the box marked Discount code or gift card, they type the gift card code and press Apply. The value comes off the order total straight away, and if the gift card covers everything, there is nothing more to pay.
Step 5: Any balance is saved. If they spend less than the full amount, the rest stays on the same code for their next order. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase, and they can see what is left at any time by opening the gift card page from the original email.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a physical card?
No. The gift card is sent by email, which means it cannot get lost in the post and it can be given on the same day it is bought.
How long does a gift card last?
12 months from the date it is bought, which gives them plenty of time to choose. Any balance can be used across more than one order during that time.
Can I send it straight to the person it is for?
The gift card email is sent to the email address used at checkout. Forward it to them, or print it and give it in person.
Can it be used on live food and postage?
Yes. It can be spent on anything in the shop, including live phytoplankton, copepods and starter cultures, and it also covers the delivery charge on their order. The only thing it cannot be used to buy is another gift card.
Can they use more than one gift card on an order?
Yes. Each code is entered in the same box at checkout, one after the other.
What if the code is not working or the email has not arrived?
Check that the code has been typed exactly as it appears in the email, and look in the junk or spam folder for the original email. If it still is not working, contact us with your order number and we will sort it out.
What if they are not sure what to buy?
They can email us with a few details about their tank, and Darren will suggest what would help it most.
