How gift vouchers work

From your inbox to their reef

You may see our vouchers called gift cards at checkout. They are the same thing.

    Choose the amount

    Pick a value, add it to your basket and check out as normal. Buy it on its own or with other products.

  2. 2

    The email arrives

    Once payment goes through, the voucher is sent to the email address you used at checkout, with a unique code and a link to the voucher page.

  3. 3

    Pass it on

    The email comes to you, so you choose when they get it. Forward it, print it, or write the code in a card.

  4. 4

    They spend it

    At checkout they type the code into the box marked Discount code or gift card and press Apply. The value comes straight off the order.

  5. 5

    Any balance is saved

    Whatever they do not spend stays on the same code for next time. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase, and the voucher page from the original email shows what is left.

Forward the email

Once your voucher arrives, forward the email on the day you want to give it. There is no parcel to post.

Is a gift voucher the same as a gift card?

Yes. They are the same thing. You will see the words gift card on the product page and at checkout.

Is it a physical card?

No. It is sent by email, which means it can be given the same day it is bought. The pictures on this page show ideas for presenting it.

How long does a voucher last?

12 months from the date it is bought, which gives them plenty of time to choose. Any balance can be used across more than one order during that time.

Can I send it straight to the person it is for?

The voucher email goes to the address used at checkout. Forward it to them, or print it and give it in person.

Can it be used on live food and postage?

Yes. It can be spent on anything in the shop, and it covers the delivery charge on their order too. The only thing it cannot buy is another gift voucher.

Can they use more than one voucher on an order?

Yes. Each code goes in the same box at checkout, one after the other.

What if the email has not arrived or the code does not work?

Check your junk or spam folder and enter the code exactly as shown in the email. If you still need help, contact us with your order number using the details below.
