Premium Activated Carbon for Reef Aquariums

Your water parameters test clean but something is still off. A yellow tint to the water, a faint smell you cannot place, or corals that seem less vibrant than they should. Not everything that affects your reef shows up on a test kit.

Dissolved organics, tannins, medications, and chemical compounds accumulate in reef water over time and no amount of water changes removes them completely. They affect water clarity, reduce light penetration to corals, and create a background stress load on your animals that is easy to overlook until the impact becomes visible.

Reefphyto Premium Activated Carbon is a high-grade granulated carbon for marine and freshwater aquariums and ponds. The granulated format provides significantly greater surface area than traditional pelleted carbon, ensuring the full volume of material actively contributes to chemical filtration rather than leaving the interior of each pellet unexposed. Use 50g per 50 litres of aquarium water, placed in a media bag in a flow-through area of your sump or filter. Replace every 3 to 4 weeks, or sooner if water clarity begins to decline.
