Hobby Artemia - Brine Shrimp Breeder
For young fish, brine shrimp (also known as Triops, sea monkeys) is an excellent source of natural nutrients. These tiny shrimp live in salt lakes, and their eggs have been known to survive even prolonged droughts.
When in contact with water, the eggs hatch into nauplii within 24 to 36 hours. These nauplii can either be used as food for juvenile fish or raised into adult animals up to two centimetres in length, making them suitable for large freshwater and marine fish.
Self-bred artemia is a reliable source of live food, ideal for breeding and providing additional nutrition for all aquarium fish. Under the brand name HOBBY Aquaristik, Dohse Aquaristics has developed a complete artemia breeding system, including artemia eggs and culture equipment and special artemia breeding feed, ensuring a constant supply of live food.
