Hikari Algae Wafers have been formulated to promote proper growth and form in most herbivorous species. It contains high levels of vegetable matter and select algae that plecostomus and other algae Eaters prefer.
The unique design of the algae disc sinks rapidly and retains its shape. Feeding suggestion: feed as much as your fish can consume within 2 hours. Many bottom feeders are nocturnal; for best results, feed late in the day or At night.
Remove any uneaten food after the feeding period. Some tropical fish resist a new type of food when changing their diet; continued use will ensure acceptance. If desired, algae wafers can be broken into smaller pieces for feeding other algae-eating tropical or marine fish.
