Reefphyto PodHide Nano – Reef Tank Copepod Shelter & Breeding Station - for Smaller Tanks, Nano Systems, Sumps, and Refugiums
If you’ve ever added copepods to your reef tank only to watch the population vanish within days, you’re not alone. In most aquariums, pods are eaten faster than they can reproduce, especially by active feeders like wrasses, mandarins, and anthias.
The Reefphyto PodHide Nano solves this problem by giving copepods a dedicated safe haven to hide, breed, and thrive away from predators. Designed specifically for smaller tanks, nano systems, sumps, and refugiums, it creates a secure breeding station that continuously supplies your tank with a natural, sustainable food source for corals and fish. Made from reef-safe PETG and 3D printed in-house, its multiple holes and rough internal surfaces are perfect for colonisation. If you are looking for a larger Podhide then checkout or Full Size Podhide which can be found here on our website.

How to Use
-
Rinse before first use.
-
Place the PodHide Nano in a low-flow area of your main tank, sump, or refugium.
-
To seed with copepods, turn the PodHide Nano on its side and use a turkey baster to gently squirt pods into the holes from your pouch.
-
Alternatively, allow it to colonise naturally, copepods will find it over time.
-
As the population grows, pods will naturally migrate into your display tank to feed fish and corals.
Maintenance Tips
-
Occasionally reposition in your sump or refugium to encourage even colonisation.
-
Do not place in areas of extremely high flow, as this may wash pods away.
-
Inspect periodically to ensure optimal pod activity.
Add a PodHide Nano to your reef system today and start building a thriving, self-sustaining copepod population, even in smaller setups.
