What items do I need to provide?
1. Culture water should be made to a specific gravity of 1.025 The culture water is simply salt water like what you make for your tank. (Do not use the water currently in your tank - use fresh at all times.)
2. Lighting
Fluorescent lights seem to perfectly suit phytoplankton, we use fluorescent tubes that are suitable for planted tropical aquariums. You may choose to use LED's but results may vary.
3. Timer
Use a timer for the light as you will need 16 hours with the culture light on and 8 hours with the light off.
4. Air Pump
Is required, but please select whether you need one included with your pack from the 2 purchasing options above.
